Position Summary

Develop SQL for integration and reporting.
Develop data models to implement business-specific data requirements.
Develop ETL scripts using SSIS.
Integrate data from Web APIs including REST and SOAP.
Develop and maintain Python and C# scripts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SQL Development/Integration/Reporting:

Meet with business representatives to understand business needs and gather requirements; translate requirements into data models/specifications.
Develop T-SQL Scripts to implement data and reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain SSIS packages; uphold ETL best practices.
Ongoing report development, primarily using Spotfire and SSRS.
Develop and maintain Python and C# tools.
Integrate data from Web APIs.
Overall accountability, environment support and project work:

Support Enterprise Data Warehouse via collaboration with the EDW Architect following integration strategy guidelines.
Support GIS ecosystem via collaboration with the GIS Architect.
Support project and non-project development.
Ongoing environment maintenance – break-fix, environment management, configuration changes.
Work collaboratively with business users from layman to power user.

Overall Experience:

Mid-level experience with the essential skillsets in the Microsoft SQL stack, Spotfire and scripting as described above.
Successful track record in problem solving, solution development and client interaction.
Experience with Data Warehouse environments and working with the EDW architect.
Experience working with waterfall and agile project methodologies.
Qualifications

Essential:

Proficiency in SQL programming (T-SQL, stored procedures, etc.).
Significant experience with developing ETL packages using SSIS.
Experience with developing reports using Spotfire and SSRS.
Proficiency in translating business requirements into data specifications.
Strong problem solving and business facing communication skills.
Experience with source control tools (Git/Bitbucket) and methodology.
Experience with developing and maintaining business level documentation.
Preferred:

Experience with integrating data from Web APIs including REST and SOAP.
Experience with Microsoft spatial data and ESRI GIS data.
Experience with Python and C#.
