The Business Consultant works with the Lead Business Consultant and Senior Project Managers to assist with daily operations exercising time management, communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Business Consultant will interface with technical and business delivery personnel, as well as vendors and customers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
- Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
Qualifications:
- Passionate coder with 5+ years of application development experience.
- SharePoint development is a MUST, specifically SPfX app development experience using SharePoint embedding other technologies (Data storage strategy, REST, etc).
- Power Platform development experience is a MUST - Power apps, App Development/enhancement to support PPM processes, Power Automate, Scripting with emphasis on calls to various components (MS Project, SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, Power BI), Dataverse, Table design/data flows
- Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
- Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
Preferred skills and education:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Experience working in the consulting industry
- Understanding of complex Internet based enterprise level applications
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments
