Co-ordinate with DBA team for implementing project related tasks.
Optimization changes at DB level.
Participate in database optimization and design.
Establish best practices and process improvement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science.
Strong Knowledge of DBMS Concepts is a must.
Proficiency in general programming concepts.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong experience in Oracle 12g/12gRAC, 18g PL/SQL, PostgreSQL.
Strong experience in UNIX shell scripting (Added Advantage)
Experience on
Hands on experience in SQL tuning/Re-writing SQLs in an alternate/better way.
Identify performance bottlenecks in PLSQL procedure & eliminate by alternate implementation.
Identify suitable business scenario in the existing application and suggest/implement back end procedure implementation.
Must be comfortable in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL packages.
Suggest design changes for overall application performance.
Help application development team in analysing code impact for the proposed database design change and take it to implementation
Must be very comfortable in generating/understanding query plan and identify deficiency in query execution, suggesting, implementing changes for better performance.
