Project Details: This ETL developer will do both analysis and development of Charter's data lake, to report to executive leadership. This role requires heavy use of Teradata, ETL and Unix/Shell scripting. The data that they will be analyzing will consist of reporting, subscribers, mobile accounts, home addresses, products and field operations. This divisions operates out of an agile environment and complete tasks in 2 week sprints.
 

Must Have Skills:

• Teradata – data warehousing experience (3 years minimum)
  • Analytics of the data, slice and dice, report the data to executive leadership
  • Ex: Number of mobile accounts
• ETL
  • Tool to use for querying
  • 4,000 tables in the data warehouse
• Unix or shell scripting experience
• Agile methodology
• Great communication – understanding how to write, listen, and speak.



Nice to Have Skills:

• Oracle experience - Use for database management.
• SQL - Use for stored procedures. 
• Kanban experience. - Use for reporting.
• Agile experience. - They are operating out of 2 week sprints.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Analyst developer – work on BAU
• Things that are in production that break – development upstream is changing – now they need to add a row, column, or table to report the correct data.
