The ideal candidate has strong communication, organization and planning skills, is highly-collaborative, and can take both a creative and analytical approach when problem solving.

The candidate will be able to proactively work within and to help guide a team of geographically-distributed contributors with diverse skills, backgrounds and personalities. And, this candidate will have an ability and willingness to diplomatically “stand up for” the VOC, end user and the UX perspective (not be a design “order taker”).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with UX, product and digital strategy partners to understand user needs and opportunities
Create low- to high-fidelity IA and designs throughout the design process, often under tight deadlines – including wireframes, user flows, detailed visual designs, specs, annotations and other documentation to communicate the experience
Coordinate and lead a UX team of designers, content strategists, usability and accessibility specialists, often concurrently across multiple projects, priorities and working groups
Effectively lead team calls online and in-person, plan and manage UX requirement and design sessions, lead large UX review and design approval sessions with key stakeholders
Collaborate with development teams to understand constraints and ensure appropriate implementation
Manage and balance the design work intake, workflow and timelines to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects on budget
Experience & skills:
5+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Visual Designer, or similar design leadership role
Strong and confident verbal and visual communication, written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience running meetings online and ability to “think on one’s feet” in front of an audience
Experience with multi-device design and responsive design
Experience with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Invision
Experience with Agile methodologies; experience with SAFe practices is considered ideal. A passion for being the voice of the user and a proven track record building user-centric solutions
Financial services experience preferred
