JOB DETAIL

•            Bachelors in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related fieldof study.

•            SPC Certification is REQUIRED!

•            8-10 years of IT experience.

•            5 years as an Agile Coach

•            Ability to coach across multiple teams.

 

Job Summary:

The Agile Coach mentors and guides the team to adopt andbecome self-sufficient in Agile best practices, specifically the clientstandard Agile model. This role provides a combination of guidance on keyroles, ceremonies, processes, tools, team building and motivation, and hands-oncoaching as the team exercises Agile processes. The Agile Coach will relyheavily and collaborate with leadership to drive process change and theevolution to an Agile mindset. In some cases, the Agile Coach may temporarilyfacilitate key ceremonies to guide process adoption and demonstratebest-practices. Otherwise, the coach does not own or facilitate any teamceremonies or deliverables. Over time, the team becomes self-serving, and thecoach provides on-going adoption recommendation and on-call support.

 

Responsibilities:

•            Collaborate with the product owner and their team to prioritize delivery andclarify requirements in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness

•            Facilitate backlog grooming and estimating when appropriate

•            Work with team to mature agile practices and events to “do them well”

•            Connect activities, techniques and process to Principles and Values: instillLean Mindset

•            Provide support in PI Planning and User Story Refinement activities

•            Provide support to RTE as needed in facilitation of PI

•            Participate Sprint Planning and Retrospective Ceremonies

•            Calculate Velocity, Capacity and support Engineering Manager and Teams inproviding ongoing reporting

•            Attend Daily Stand Ups

•            Provide support to team members in removing/resolving obstacles and impediments

•            Provide facilitation support to Engineering Manager as needed

•            Conduct/facilitate team retrospectives, coach relentless improvement

•            Connect people for collaboration

•            Help address team impediments
