Seeking a Project Manager with experience managing large scale, complex technology projects. The Sr. Project Manager will interact directly with clients and consultants daily. They will ensure that deliverables defined in contracted Statement of Work (SOW) are completed on time, on budget and with agreed quality. The Project Manager will personally initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close project scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder interaction.
SDLC experience is required, with enterprise technology experience a major plus. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of Project Management methodologies and hold one or more certifications in good standing. This will start as a Part Time contract position initial phase and then high possibility of extension to fulltime long term.
Qualifications
- Ability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close all aspects of projects
- Ability to perform analysis of client business organizational and environmental factors as inputs to project planning, risk analysis and stakeholder analysis/communications
- Superior business acumen including financial analysis, translation of complex technology concepts to layman terminology and polished presentation skills
- Ability to proactively drive project teams to stay focused on committed schedule and deliverables
- Drives projects autonomously with minimal intervention from management
- Highly skilled at managing client relationships and setting stakeholder expectations at senior levels including CXO
- Expert knowledge of factors impacting project cost and profitability. Ability to satisfy client expectations while delivering to baseline profitability.
- Experience managing projects in traditional Waterfall, scrum/Agile and hybrid approaches
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including its phases and artifacts
- Deep experience with a variety of PPM tools; MS Project at a minimum, agile lifecycle management tools a plus including Jira, CA Agile Central, Version One, Microsoft Excel
- Past participation in sales activities such as RFP response; ability to present project value-add, methodology and approach in a pre-sales context
- Track record of mentoring new and junior project managers
Requirements
- S. Degree in Business and or Technology
- 10+ years of project management experience, 4+ years in Professional Services Organizations
- Waterfall project methodologies experience.
- Fluently bilingual in Spanish and English, required
- PMP certification is a plus
- Agile certification (CSM, SAFe SPC) a plus
