JOB DETAIL

Role Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in I.T. or a related discipline
  • 10+ year work experience in IT project delivery projects/programs including concurrent management of more than 1-2 projects at a time
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum master role
  • Experience in full SDLC project delivery with a variety of methodologies ie Agile, Scrum, Waterfall
  • Managing on/offshore teams across multiple time zones
  • Managing vendors/suppliers on/offshore
  • Experience with a variety of project management tools eg MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Clarity.
  • General Insurance Industry experience is a big Plus.

Job Description

  • Manage all phases of IT projects to the agreed scope, time, budget and quality from initiation through to closure
  • Candidate should have knowledge on Scrum Master activities
  • Scheduling the daily scrum calls, Sprint planning meetings, Sprint reviews and Retrospectives, and ensure hassle free meetings
  • Maintain and publish metrics like Burnt up chart/Burnt Down Chart, Release Plans, Team Calendar, Monthly, Weekly Status Reports in terms of Work Items.
  • Ensure the Team is loaded with apt amount of work load.
  • Ensure the Team’s interactions with Product Owner and keep any foreseen impediments away.
  • Manage and motivate project team resources to delivery assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Track team progress and identify risks/issues that may impede progress using standups/team meetings
  • Review team deliverables to ensure they adhere to quality standards/customer acceptance criteria
  • Develop and maintain project management artifacts like project charter, schedule, budget tracking, risk and issue logs, status reports, communications plan
  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders
  • Escalate any issues/risks as required to the project owner
  • Manage scope change requests to the agreed change control / governance process
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify potential business impacts of changes and then manage the actions to minimize disruption (eg business readiness activities such as communications, training, implementation planning, support arrangements)
