•             Your primary focus is supporting the software engineering team in design development, and test of the SaaS Care Transition Platform (CTP) that is used by hundreds thousand health care providers in the nation, and handling more than millions discharges per year

•             Collaborating with Technical Operation and Database Service team in proactively monitoring and addressing production issues of our CTP platform, conduct tuning and provide recommendations for database configuration, indexing, storage utilization and execution plans. Quickly resolve any urgent production issue related to databases

•             As a primary owner of all software development database server environment and responsible for its stability and availability, as well as regular support and maintenance

•             Support and work with data warehouse team for data analytics

•             Providing technical leadership to the software engineering department on database technology, design, implementation. Work closely with the engineering counterparts in reviewing database or SQL design, identify and address potential database performance issues.

Qualifications

•             At least BS degree in engineering, science or equivalent.

•             8 years of experience designing, building, proactively monitoring and tuning enterprise-level transactional and warehouse database systems

•             4+ years’ experience with Oracle RDBMS, including Oracle RAC knowledge and experience. Some knowledge and experience with MongoDB strongly desirable

•             Experience creating complex procedures in DQL and PLSQL

•             Experience with data replication technologies with Oracle

•             Demonstrated advanced understanding of the interrelationship of VM, hardware, OS, and DBMS

•             Expert level knowledge and skill in SQL design and tuning

•             Experience in Linux and shell scripts

•             Experience working with or within software engineering department

•             Expertise in Data Modeling, Data Warehouse and ETL design and implementation is a plus.

•             Knowledge in Java, Python, PostgreSQL MySQL, Mongo, Talend, Kafka, Elastic Search is a plus.
