Duties and responsibilities:
• Leads the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing features for the existing portfolio of applications for a business area
• Provides technical leadership and direction for EPIC features delivered
• Design, build, test and deploy highly scalable, high-volume Java and Python based Web Services following a traditional REST model.
• Perform development in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, Node.js, typescript and 3rd party libraries or frameworks
• Maintain and manage a cohesive front-end framework as we make updates and add features to the UIs
• Ensures application solution design conforms to agreed upon quality attributes such as performance, fault tolerance, etc.
• Collaborates with architects on coding standards, processes, tooling, and frameworks required for the delivery of features in the sprint or product backlog
• Automates testing of software to industry standards of software automation ensuring very high-quality application/solution delivery and efficient regression of existing features
• Participate in Proof of Concept work and prototyping when necessary

Skillsets/relevant experience
• Passionate about delivering solutions that excite and delight our customers; holds self to high standards of delivery
• 7+ years of experience with Java/Python in all phases of software development
• Must have 5+ years’ experience with Angular and Node.js
• Must have 3+ years of experience in Sql
• Experience with AWS Cloud Platform (EC2, ECS, Fargate, Route53, S3, etc.)
• Experience with major open-source tools and frameworks such as Spring, Docker, Hibernate, Angular
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as Cloud Watch, CloudTrail etc
• Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS
• Experience in AWS CLI and AWS SDK, writing Infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation, writing IAM Roles using AWS security best practices
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to improve our products
• Any AWS certification is a plus
