Our Client, a Health Insurance company in NYC, has an immediate opening for an Sr DevOps Engineer. The Sr. DevOps Engineer primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and deliver solutions on the DevOps enablement team. As part of the team, you will be building automated tools and frameworks and help develop and maintain the CI/CD pipelines. This individual will have 3 to 5 years of experience working on an Infrastructure, Development, or DevOps specific role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, Build and implement CI/CD pipelines for companies applications.
- Meet with development teams to understand how to automate deployments.
- Work with development teams to codify configuration in KV Database.
- Test implemented designs.
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
- Handle last level support for code deployments in all environments.
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve on our DevOps processes.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
- Brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
- Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
- Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
- Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.
- Manage CI and CD tools with team.
- Document and design various processes around DevOps; update existing processes.
- Improve infrastructure development and application development.
- Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the organization.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools such as Git, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory and Consul.
- 2+ years of DevOps experience with one of the following: AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with DevOps Culture and Agile Development.
- Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations.
- Up to date on latest industry trends and able to articulate trends clearly and confidently.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 30 pounds or more.
Preferred:
- AWS DevOps experience.
- Containerization Management experience (Kubernetes and Docker).
- Experience using Veracode.
- Experience working in Agile Release Management Tools.
- Experience using Cyberark and Conjur.
- Experience using Selenium.
- Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL, MySQL), CI/CD tools, scripting. such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Ruby, .NET, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies.
- Experience with AWS components such as SAM, lambda, API gateway, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EC2, RDS, RedShift, IAM, SSM, Secrets Manager, and DynamoDB
