Roles and responsibilities: Participate in a test automation tool selection process for an automated component testing harness in a Web/ Browser based/ ERP environment. Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, Application architecture, and detailed design documents.
Develop and execute automated tests using the selected tool, which will likely require programming in VB, Java, or some scripting language. Select and develop appropriate test automation frameworks, applying the latest techniques in test automation. Perform static analysis of source code using complexity metrics. Integrate the test suites into the test management system. The ability to participate effectively in estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis is desired. Understand the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints. Preferable for Load testing and/ or performance testing experience.
