What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Owns technical design and code base for products owned by the team
- Helps team navigate complexity and ambiguity through rapid experimentation and prototyping
- Leads team through the design, development, and operations of highly available, responsive, observable and cloud native system that solves the right problems for our customers
- Stays current with industry best practices, trends and commonly used technologies
- Serves as a technical leader that mentors and grows the talent around them
- Champions simplicity, product thinking, modularity, TDD, observability and continuous delivery (trunk base development, automated testing, everything as code, automated deployments, etc)
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement that drives the team to constantly strive to improve the world around (processes, solutions, and practices) them and being better every day

What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study. Ten years of experience in software development lifecycle.
- Experience with leading one or more teams through the design, development and operations of highly scalable and cloud native systems
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
- Experience with two or more modern languages such as Python, Typescript, Go, Rust and Java
- Experience developing and designing web services within a microservices architecture
- Experience with continuous delivery, TDD, DevOps and product thinking
