The database developer that we are seeking has solid understanding of database architecture and administration fundamentals, is an expert in PL SQL and SQL development, tuning of stored procedures, and managing large-scale, complex, tier 1databases

Furthermore, the developer must have experience with tools such as GitHub and JIRA and a decent grasp of Java. Experience with MongoDB is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

·         PL SQL/SQL development; some Java development

·         Creating, debugging, tuning and testing Oracle stored procedures

·         Profile data and understand large amounts of source data available, including structured, semi-structured and structured data

·         Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for support area

·         Participates in and support development and QA testing of the application and data base changes

·         Participates and support production deployment and post-production support of code changes.

Required Skills:

·         5+ years of PL SQL and SQL experience

·         5+ years of procedural language (PL) or SQL experience

·         5+ years of Perl or Shell experience

·         5+ years of Oracle dev experience

·         5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience

·         2+ years of Agile

·         2+ years of Java

·         Ability to direct and oversee escalated technical troubleshooting and complex analysis efforts for prompt recovery of major issues

·         Ability to dissect technical problems, analyze data, and recommend potential solutions

·         Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or escalated issues

·         Experienced with Agile

Daily Responsibilities:

 

·         This is a San Francisco, Bay Area-based position.   Position will require candidate to be in the office. 

·         Willingness to work on call as assigned.

·         Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed or scheduled.

·         Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day

·         Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications
