Python, ETL, SQL, snowflake is a huge plus

SD is searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Digitalization temp who will work with the Tools & Quality Engineer to extend & validate SD’s internal data provider and ETL system used to accelerate SD’s Research & Development catalyst development.

The Digitalization temp’s responsibilities will include testing the existing capabilities of the SciData system, troubleshooting and resolving errors in data handling, coordinating with the software vendor and with stakeholders, and completing other tasks assigned by the Tools & Quality Engineer.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the Tools & Quality Engineer.
• Validating current functionality of SciData system against current business needs
• Collaborating with software vendor to resolve issues with ETL and other components
• Incorporating feedback from stakeholders to validate & extend the SciData system
• Documenting alterations and change requests

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

A good candidate will be able to troubleshoot ETL errors and ensure the system is well-documented. An outstanding candidate will be able to suggest or implement fixes to errors, contribute to solution architecture, and ensure functionality is robust.

Digitalization Co-Op Requirements:

• Computer Science program (or similar) enrollment with minimum completion of sophomore year.
• Project experience in Python & SQL strongly preferred. Experience with ETL pipelines, Azure, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow work instructions and collaborate with others.
