This is an exciting opportunity to be part of aninnovative, patient focused organization that serves as the strategic partnerand provider to Global Medical Affairs to ensure scientific understanding ofour therapeutic areas and to accelerate AbbVie's product launches. Thisposition is within Information Research (R&D) Business Technology Solutions(BTS) organization, responsible for providing appropriate technology consultation,guidance, and leadership to Global Medical Affairs.
The Digital Content Consultant is the technologyconsultant assigned to oversee and develop Solution Proposals to help framescope, estimate, build timelines, alignment with corporate standards, dataprivacy for technology needs being requested from the various Therapeutic areasand affiliates regarding Global Medical Affairs digital content. This role willalso do coordination and oversight across different groups to gain alignmentand commitments.
The Digital Content Consultant is responsible toproactively understand Therapeutic area (TA) technology needs for their digitalcontent. They will educate the TA teams on existing technology capabilities,and influence/develop capabilities roadmaps. He/she will stay on top oftechnology trends and perform the required technical research and due diligencewhen necessary to recommend the use of new technology capabilities, balancingopportunities for innovation, business benefits, existing IT standards, and ITroadmaps.
To be successful, the candidate is expected tohave technical and functional experience around digital technology capabilitiesand how different solutions interact with each other to enable businessoutcomes. This role will be required to collaborate across a highly matrixedorganization, to ensure business value can be delivered with the solutionsbeing proposed.
This position is responsible for planning andoverseeing a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion,including securing cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost,and timeline. He/she is expected to work effectively across various IT sharedservices teams, external Marketing Agencies, and other Commercial businessstakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties
• Proactively understand the businessrequirements and the technology needs.
• Understand both data and technologycapabilities already in use across AbbVie and recommend appropriateapplication.
• Uses technical consulting skills, expertise,and collaboration to translate business requirements to functional requirementsfor technology delivery team.
• Manage a portfolio of projects across TAs,providing visibility to business and technology leadership on the status,benefits, costs, and risks of new requests and in-process projects.
• Develop comprehensive project estimates andtimelines by soliciting input and collecting feedback from all impactedstakeholders.
• Effectively utilize all available resources,either within or outside of direct span of control, to manage diverse workload,maximize productivity and encourage innovation.
• Work across IT and business functions tonegotiate and secure the availability of resources to meet the demands of theTAs.
• Work with technical resources, to ensure thatsystems are architected in a way that results in technology synergies andsimplified integration to help manage multi-vendor relationships and ensurecompliance with data security and architecture standards.
• Interacts well with diverse groups acrossbusiness and technology functions and maintains strong working relationshipswith internal and external collaborators.
• Makes contributions to identifying overallprocess and/or technology improvements.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbViePolicies and procedures.
• Work with minimal oversight; deliverables andrelationships are monitored through periodic reviews.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years’ experience;
• 1-2 years’ experience working with PharmaMedical Affairs is desired
• Previous Pharma experience is required
• Resource must be local, will be required tobe in the office 2 to 3 times a week
