Drive software ideas from concept to reality in a team setting, interact with offshore counterparts.
Review requirements / specifications / technical design documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs.
Conducts and coordinates the analysis, design, customization / enhancements and implementation of software development to meet user requirements.
Participates in various aspects of the product life cycle, including solution design, implementation, customization and testing.
Works directly with stakeholders to determine project specifications.
Provides technical direction related to project deliverables for both onshore and offshore development team members.
Reviews business requirements and technical analysis documentation to develop system integration, customizations, enhancements and implementation approaches designed to meet business objectives
Drive the development, configuration, coding, testing, and debugging of complex new software for the software development teams.
Assists application programmers in defining applications scope and objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have held a Business Analyst role in the past and has 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
2 years of experience with programming with Java, ability to read code and see where problems and blockages lie
Maintains code quality by leading code reviews
Minimum of 2 years of experience in SDLC with a focus on web, mobile, middleware technologies and support
Must have experience running a support team with an onshore/offshore model.
Required to run nightly calls at 10:00 pm to complete the “handoff” of work from each region.
Must be able to lead the support team with the technical ability to debug issues and have excellent communication skills to ensure the entire team is utilized efficiently.
Extensive experience in Enhancements, Customization, Integration and Support
Ability to implement Microservices using Reactive architecture.
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies.
In depth understanding of application development and best practices around optimization
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Experience consuming and developing RESTful web services.
Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
Understands technical design specifications for application development.
Demonstrated mastery of software development best practices, including coding standards
