The client requires consultants to work 2 days a week onsite, there is no way around this

 

Job Description -  Must have solid communication skills and be able to be a lead data architect. Mentoring junior staff.

 

Project Details This resource will be working with the Sales team and development team to build software applications for their transit payment systems. This will be various project with various customers and the experience of understanding how to start from scratch by gathering customer data and process will be crucial.

 

Must haves (ideally top 3 things): Experience with Relational and Non-relational databases and when to choose the correct one Understanding brand new builds for products for customer uses Hands on experience with AWS data storage services (AWS Cloud) SQL language    

Company/team size: Roughly 100 total employees and the team will be around 40 that you will interact with between IT and Sales.

Data Architect Description Our Client is seeking a Data Architect to join an innovative and dynamic team that develops and tests industry-leading fare collection products and services.

As the Data Architect you will be responsible for Clients connected offering’s hosted products.

You should possess in-depth knowledge of the architecture and design of large scale data systems.

This role requires a broad range of skills as you will be expected to define and document data architecture as well as capture requirements and prepare estimates.

 

Responsibilities: Work closely with the sales team and customers to understand their business processes, capture requirements and document data models to satisfy them.

Design and optimize data models for transit reporting and device management by moving existing on premise systems to the AWS cloud.

Propose and take ownership of technical solutions from the design and architecture perspective.

Keep up to date with latest trends and technologies and provide strategic direction and technical expertise to meet data architecture needs.

Work with geographically disperse team in NA and India. Mentor other engineers in best practices and problem solving.

 

Requirements and Qualifications: You have an intellectual curiosity that motivates you to keep on top of technical trends – but you also have deep knowledge in the tools of choice.

Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, technically complex projects where you created the architecture and design of the delivered solutions.

Hands on experience with designing and implementing data warehouses for BI projects.

Experience working in a cloud native environment with at least 5 years of experience preferably on AWS.

Experience migrating on premise workloads to the cloud.

Hands-on experience with multiple AWS data storage services such as Redshift, DynamoDB, Timestream, RDS and S3.

Hands-on experience with data visualization technologies such as AWS Quicksight.

Experience working with both Relational and Non-Relational databases and when to choose one over the other.

Experience architecting and designing multi-tenant applications.

Experience automating deployments by writing Terraform and Cloud Formation scripts. Expertise in the SQL language.

Experience working across cultures. Strong oral and written communication skillsRabbitMQ
