the position will be hybrid at client site in foster city/ca (2 days remote,,,3 days onsite)

to work on a new video security and services solution/platform. this person will own multiple responsibilities including level3 product support; and will be responsible for driving operational and product efficiency for the team.

objectives:

- build and maintain the ci/cd tools and infrastructure

- implement ways to automate and improve the dev and release processes

- test and maintain the install/upgrade scripts of the video security platform

- keep track of vulnerabilities and security bulletins issued by cert that may be relevant to our product

- design procedures and troubleshooting flowcharts for troubleshooting and maintenance of the platform

- develop a low level understanding of the functionality and implementation level details of the video security solution

- act as first point of contact for l3 customer support and resolve issues in conjunction with the dev/engineering team as needed.

- interact with customers for troubleshooting and platform upgrades (for on-prem deployments)

- maintain a wiki of known issues and resolutions

skills and qualifications

- bs in computer science, engineering or relevant field

- experience as a devops engineer or similar software engineering role

- good knowledge of linux (ubuntu) and shell scripting

- working knowledge of java programming a plus

- working knowledge of databases and mongodb

- problem-solving attitude and excellent communications

- collaborative team spirit
