We’re in search of aInfrastructure Project Manager that specializes in projectmanagement experience managing large-scale, cross-functional, infrastructurefocused projects . This is a onsite position in Miramar, FL
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Storage InfrastructureProject Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering high quality storageinfrastructure projects & Capacity on time, within budget and in accordancewith FCA application and technology guidelines. The PM will get these projectsimplemented working with the managed services providers such as IBM and DELLEMC. The PM will be responsible for assuring that the PMI best practices andtools are leveraged for all infrastructure projects. The PM’s focus is on meetingproject commitments, including communications with sponsors and stakeholders,and is responsible for delivering all PM assets throughout the projectlifecycle (intake to close). The PM leads activities with technical, financialand business resources, demonstrating the ability to influence outcomes.Successful PM’s have the ability to adapt quickly, problem solve and demand ahigh level of professionalism.
Responsibilities include butare not limited to:
Provide both strategic andtactical project management to business and ICT stakeholders, with ultimateownership of the project
Be highly focused on businesssuccess
Manage vendor project andtechnical resources and processes and ensure performance based on agreed uponscope and deliverable definition
Hold resources accountablefor deliverables, quality, and due dates, escalating as appropriate andnecessary
Proactively and effectivelymanage project risk
Adhere to the projectmanagement methodology as mandated by FCA, while providing guidance on industrybest practices, tools and process improvements
Conflict resolution
Project control to mitigatescope, budget, schedule variance while employing methods to provide correctiveactions as required
Mentoring and directing theactions of other team members
Ability to perform financialmanagement as related to Capacity augmentation and infrastructure.
Qualifications &Experience:
Bachelor's degree inInformation Systems/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from an accreditedcollege/university
5 years of formal technicalproject management experience managing large-scale, cross-functional,infrastructure focused projects
Experience in managingprojects in Servers, Storage & Backup infrastructure areas
2 years of formal projectmanagement experience in Project Management Methodologies and associatetechnologies
Strong knowledge of ITInfrastructure components and how they interrelate to form a cohesive, end toend solution
Ability to deliver complexassignments in a fast paced, intense environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrates initiative toexplore new technology, processes and methods
Core competencies in riskmanagement, financial tracking, tracking dependencies and milestones,negotiating, business stakeholder engagement, disciplined change managementprocesses and leadership
Excellent organizational,oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with alllevels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner
Strong knowledge of softwaredevelopment processes and life cycles
Strong facilitation andpresentation skills
Ability to lead by example,mentor new project managers and/or contractors on established processes
A consultative team playerthat can assess conflicting view points and opinions but has an ability torationally assess alternatives and clearly articulate recommendations tomanagement.
