Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise system designs
Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work
Lead evaluation, analysis and design for the implementation of a solutions architecture
Create reference architecture focused on design principles, detailed APIs, major systems dependencies between business and IT
Work closely with other architects that manage and design architecture for dependent products
Collaborate and present in architecture collectives, review boards and other architecture forums
Analyze the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation, and innovation)
Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision and contextualize solution development
Work closely with the program delivery teams to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle
Partner with product managers to design/solution scalable, performant and extensible technical capabilities that can power the pricing processes that deliver the most business value via services, APIs and reusable
Work closely with application and infrastructure development leads to fit systems and/or infrastructure to contextualized architecture
Ability to work with Data Engineers and AI/ML Scientists and demonstrate capability to create advanced features
Ensure non-functional requirements are designed into the end-to-end solution and perform software standards and design reviews
Manage the Key Design Decision process and design escalations
Stay up to date with emerging technology trends within the industry to innovate and champion new technologies/frameworks/tools where appropriate
Create working prototypes for testing new ideas
Mentor resources working on technical solution and act as the point person for cross-project technical issues/resolution
Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of technology experience
4+ years’ experience in the roles of solution architecture, full stack application development on digital tools, data and application architecture, integration, and infrastructure architecture
2+ years’ experience deploying AI model pipelines in real-world environments and integrating AI/ML and other Cloud services into large-scale production applications
Deep understanding of AWS and/or Google Services related to AI/ML
Experience in exposing AI/ML outputs as services
Experience in developing front-end headless applications that make use of services that expose AI/ML data
Solid understanding of pricing strategies – Initial, Promotions and End of life pricing
Experience in Retail industry & a good understanding of the supply chain processes is preferred
Experience in COTS pricing solutions or homegrown pricing capabilities is preferred
Knowledge in pricing optimization and algorithms is a huge plus
Experience in defining, developing, and deploying Microservices based architecture
Hands on experience with web and open-source technologies, source code management and automated build and deployment pipelines
Experience in applying design patterns to defining enterprise integrations
Experience deploying solutions on the cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferred
Experience with SQL and no-SQL database technologies
Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders and IT development teams
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
Ability to clearly communicate (written & verbal) at all levels
