Translate business needs to technical specifications
Configure, Design, develop, build and deploy BI reports (Adhoc and scheduled)
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Support and maintenance of existing reports in BI Publisher
Develop and support SOAP based web-services exposed for BI reports
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation
Support and administer user roles and access of end-user
Develop and support ETL jobs and scheduled jobs in the Oracle database
Support performance tuning and data mining activities using ETL jobs
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a BI Developer i.e. Min 5 years of experience working with Oracle reporting tools like BI Publisher and OBIEE. Industry experience is preferred
Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
In-depth knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL is mandatory along with good understanding of Oracle DBA activities
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Understanding of Unix shell scripting and any scheduler tools will be preferred
Exposure with financial reporting and banking domain will be considered positive
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude, ability to perform root cause analysis, determine priority / urgency of issues and be an expert in application troubleshooting, configuration support
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
