TheProject Manager II is an Information Technology (IT) positionthat will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives. This role will follow project managementmethodologies and governance processes to deliverwork products on time and within aset budget. The role will also collaborate with the end-userand key stakeholders toprovide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on theirimplementation and delivery ofcontract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. The ProjectManager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the timeline formultiple projects. Further, this individual will work to identifyproject risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate the risksand resolve the issues.
The workers responsibilities and skills must include:
- Experience with portfolio and project management tools such as Planview PPMPro.
- Experience with performing queriesand reporting using portfolio and project management tools such as PlanviewPPMPro.
- Experience with general IT SDLC processes.
- Experience with implementing Enterprise Systems Integration projects.
- Experience drivingsystems integration deliveryprojects from 3rd party vendors to delivery acceptance and project closure.
- Experience with preparing and presenting executivelevel project communications, project tracking and stakeholder management.
- Ability to create and maintain severalproject artifacts including Project Timeline, Risk & IssueLog, Communication Plan,Stakeholder Register etc.
- Ability to identify, manage,and mitigate projectrisks and issues.
- Responsible for project scopedelivery adhering to and optimizing schedule, costs, and resources. Projectsinclude TxDOT, partners, and third-party deliverables.
- Acts as the counterpart for vendors programleader to ensurecustomer satisfaction and be the escalation point forservice delivery activities.
- Must possessstrong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a creativethinker to solveissues.
- Must be hands-on-project managerfor multiple projects.
