JOB DETAIL

  • Must haves:  
    • 5 years Data Modeling experience
      • Experience developing logical and physical data models (Transactional (ER), Dimensional (Snowflake, Star)).
    • Prior Architecture experience
    • 3 years T-SQL experience
      • Writing complex SQL queries involving multiple tables inner and outer joins
      • Proficiency in creating tables, views, stored procedures, user defined functions and other T- SQL statements for various applications
    • ETL experience
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Call center/contact center system experience such as Avaya or similar
    • PowerDesigner experience (data modeling tool) or similar
    • SSRS
    • Microstrategy
    • Teradata
    • Business Objects
    • Crystal Reports
  • Job overview/scope of role:
    • This role will be working in the Contact Center department of Parallon.
    • Will be creating an Enterprise Data model that will combine multiple telephony systems and other Contact Center applications such as Virtual Agents, Chatbots, Electronic Payment Processors, Collection/Recovery Workflow systems and HR/Timekeeping systems.
    • This role will provide leadership to a team of developers to define technical requirements.
    • This role will also oversee the build and testing and ongoing maintenance and support.

 

  • Interview Process:  Series of video webexes.   [I asked if we could condense this down to less interviews and David replied: “If your team properly vets out the SQL/Data modeling experience, then we can reduce it to three.  I still want to talk to them before I move them forward.”]
    • 1st=  SQL Coding exercise with one of the existing architects on the team (30 mins)
    • 2nd=  30 min conversation with David (manager) and he typically pulls one of his technical people into this discussion.
    • 3rd= 1 hour panel interview with some team members that this role will be working with on the technical side.
    • 4th= panel interview with executives on the business side that they would be interacting with
