Roles & Responsibilities

·     Create and execute project plans including work breakdown structures (WBS) – Gantt charts and similar, schedules, resource plans, communication and stakeholder management plans, procurement plans, quality plans, integration plans, burn-rate plans, risk management plans, etc.

·     Monitor and report on the progress of all assigned Work Packages.

·     Establish and manage advisory/governance groups as needed to support successful delivery of the Work Packages.

·     Use experience and judgement to identify and remove roadblocks (Risk Management)

·     Manage resources effectively in a matrix reporting environment.

·     Understand and adhere to the Project Management Office (PMO) requirements.

·     Create and deliver project documentation as required by PMO

·     Ensure operations training, operations knowledge-transfer, and operations related documentation is kept current

·     Manage vendors as required

·     Ensure 100% compliance to project scope, success criteria, costs

Generic Managerial Skills

·     Experience delivering IT infrastructure projects.

·     Experience delivering projects that create or evolve operational processes.

·     A good working knowledge of the PMBOK and experience working with a PMO.

·     Experience working with waterfall, agile and hybrid project management approaches.

·     A good working knowledge of MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

·     Effective and professional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with peers, management, internal/external partners, vendors and service providers

·     Strong facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills to influence and drive-forward results and decisions without formal authority

·     Strong analytical and interpretive skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting customers environment
