Role and Responsibilities
- Write well designed, efficient Kotlin code that works across devices
- Build great looking screens in an Android environment
- Support continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with the rapidly evolving mobile development world
- Actively participate in client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional hands-on Android development experience or experience building apps with Kotlin*
- Proficiency with Android SDK
- Experience with Android Jetpack libraries is a plus
- Ability and ambition to lead Android projects
- Willingness to learn and work with React Native and other technologies beyond native Android development
- Experience working within an Agile environment; preferably Scrum
- An understanding of design and the ability to fill gaps
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Comfortable striving for full unit test coverage
- Candidates with deep experience in Java development or Swift, Objective-C or React Native development with an eagerness to grow in a second platform and drive to learn may be considered
Information Security and Data Privacy
- Ensure any sensitive information of the project/organization stays protected as per the guidelines of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and report any breach, vulnerability or threat to the respective Data Protection Officer (DPO) without delay
- Ensure all data of the customer/organization processed must be done on one of the following lawful bases: consent, contract, legal obligation, vital interests, public task or legitimate interests
- Adherence to GDPR and ISMS standards to value privacy at every level
