Subway is looking for an experienced data engineer to join the Loyalty Refresh project. You will work closely with internal Capgemini and Subway stakeholders to de-duplicate and transform a large loyalty member database into a useable data set. This role will report directly to the Subway Solution Architect. Restaurant domain knowledge or loyalty program experience is preferred but not required.

To succeed in this position, you will have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources.



Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Analyst to carry out complex analysis of datasets and conduct appropriate data validation

• Closely collaborate with Loyalty Program business analyst to ensure user stories are executed properly

• Build queries and processes for cleaning data, determining formats, establishing data specifications, configuration/integration and data integrity

• Identify gaps in requirements and work with Business Analyst to resolve gaps

• Support efforts to build technical, functional, and strategic artifacts such as solution diagrams, business requirements, and business cases to support execution of proposed solution

• Execute all user story requirements, ensure acceptance and validation criteria is met

• Work with business analyst to close Product Backlog/Features/Epics/et al, ensuring information is correct

Requirements

• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role

• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques

• Good understanding of enterprise applications and business processes, as well as solid working knowledge of data management best practices and experience implementing and maintaining them.

• Intermediate skills needed for complex queries including hands-on experience with SQL database design.

• Experience working with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, Domo, SAP, etc. Must also demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Agile projects, understands complex project interdependencies, ability to prioritize & manage multiple requests, stakeholders, and ongoing deadlines.

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field.
