Sr. DBE I - JOB DESCRIPTION Allegiant Travel provides our customers a lot more than air transportation.

From vacation packages to NFL bundles we offer a wide variety of services.

Our backend support systems are diverse, scalable and complexed comprising of MySQL, DB2, MSSQL, MongoDB, Redis and PostGres mixed between on-prem and AWS.

Our Sr. DBE I role requires 7 years# experience and skills to execute the following: # Subject matter expert in at least one database platform.

# High proficiency at quickly troubleshooting and remediating production issues.

# Experience with data systems integration via API#s and or ETL tools.

# Experience managing sensitive PII and or PCI data.

# Installation, configuration, management, and monitoring of multiple versions of one or more of: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB and Redis.

# Database upgrades, scripting, task automation, backups recovery.

# Highly experienced at database performance monitoring, tuning and diagnostic tools.

# Ensure best practices and standard operating procedures are adhered to. # Experience working with encryption technologies.

# Managing VLDBs 5TB .

# Support development teams with database requests as needed (including bug fixes, production data manipulation and feature testing).

# Support business users and BI team with data access, troubleshooting and ad-hoc queries.

Requirements

# 5 years experience with database performance monitoring, tuning and diagnostic tools.

# Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds.

# Excellent communication skills.

# On call production support (24x7) in rotation with others.

# A technical degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.

# AWS Certified Solutions Architect # Associate or equivalent a plus. .
