JOB DETAIL

Over one million people in Colorado are in need of behavioral health services. Based on the public testimonies from hundreds of people across the State, there are numerous barriers to access to behavioral healthcare. The current systems are described by individuals as having inconsistent quality, cultural disparities, challenging access, poor accountability, unaffordable to many, disconnected, and difficult to navigate. The Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, teams are devoted advocates of whole-person health - a concept that is  uniquely defined by each person as they navigate their individual lived experiences.

In collaboration with other state agencies, the BHA is accountable for the delivery of all behavioral health services in Colorado. The BHA bestows a streamlined and efficient government approach to support quality care while minimizing the burden on providers so that they can focus on service delivery. The BHA will be responsible for behavioral health policy development and effective collaboration with cross-sector partners working in and around the behavioral health system and along the continuum from prevention to treatment and recovery.
