a. They need to be able to troubleshoot SQL DB – be expert on database internals like recovery models, transactions, checkpoints, backups etc.

2. Terraform – Infra as a Code in their cloud env.

3. Postgres SQL – migrating from MSSQL to Postgres

4. Working with Datasets in cloud env. GCP, AWS, Azure

5. Scaling databases

6. Scripting – with powershell

7. Configuration Management – puppet, ansible, Chef

What You’ll Do

- Implement solutions and automation for managing terabyte-scale database environments

- Improve observability by addressing gaps in our monitoring, tracing and logging.

- Contribute to triaging production incidents by helping to drive resolution, identify root cause, and pinpoint changes required to prevent future occurrences

- Participate in on-call rotation supporting and troubleshooting database issues off-hours and during promotional events

- Provide a high level of customer-service by fulfilling customer requests in a timely manner that meets established Service Levels, and offer solutions that utilize established industry best practices.

- Mentor junior engineers to develop the next generation of engineering
