- As part of this team, the Solution Engineer is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solutions for Sales Execution, mainly for Salesforce.com implementation, but also touching on other technologies around Retail Execution / Sales Force Automation / Distributor Management Solution / Sales Force Efficiency / Distribution, Pricing, Shelving and Merchandising.
- This role is viewed as an expert in complex analytical and application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise.
Scope/Categories:
- Role will report to a Senior Manager in the Digital Sales organization. Role will not have any direct reports.
- Key Interfaces: Functional Engineer, Business Client, Data & Analytics team, Solution Engineers. Enterprise Architects. and Project Managers.
- External Interfaces: Consultants, 3rd Party providers. Travel may include approximately 15% of work time.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical analytical areas with wide range of complexity.
- Translates non-functional and functional requirements into end-to-end analytical solution designs, ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes, uses and provides enterprise information consistently, integrates effectively with other applications, supports a common application environment and user interaction model.
- Is an architect and leader in developing innovative, technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems to solve business challenges .
- Leads design variances based upon business needs. Ensures artifacts are documented in enterprise architecture repository.
- Has strong knowledge in business and technical functions that are touch points with their area of expertise.
- Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for other team members.
- Collaborates with other Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architecture to make sure that solutions fit within enterprise context and aims for standardization of solutions across K-C s application landscape.
- Coordinates engagements with vendors as they relate to evaluation, design and delivery of business capabilities. Contributes to the evaluation and selection of software product standards.
- Participant in industry representation, policy formation, User Groups, and strategic direction.
Key Qualifications and Experiences :
- Bachelors degree; 7-10 years of continuous experience in software engineering, software development, solution architecture
- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end Salesforce.com implementations. Experience in designing and developing lightning components.
- Working experience with development technologies such as Apex/VF, JAVA, .Net, Ruby, JS, jQuery, Angular.js
- Working knowledge of technologies (Soap, Rest) and Middleware tools such as IBM App Connect / Cast Iron or MuleSoft. Jitterbit or Informatica are a plus.
- Working Knowledge of Source Control, and Deployment concepts using technologies such as ANT, SFDC Metadata API, Jenkins, SVN, GIT & Copado, Azure DevOps. Working knowledge of Copado is a plus.
- Senior Salesforce.com Developer. Developer or Technical Architect Salesforce.com certifications are a plus.
- Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional waterfall teams.
- Digital mindset, self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and apply digital concepts in our implementations such as UX, API, RPA.
- Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources.
- Strong Technical leadership of Application Development teams and vendors; cultivates networking opportunities within the organization.
- Knowledge about performance engineering, application and integration architecture using API Microservices, and Information Architecture modelling and design.
- Holistic IT background, including security, infrastructure, application, information management.
- Experience collaborating with Enterprise Architects and infrastructure engineers to identify, design, and implement highly complex, end-to-end solutions.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
- Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
