JOB DETAIL

  • The SAP Enteprise Architect - Technical is part of the DTS - EA team and will be responsible for planning and integrating business, information, data and technology architecture to create and ensure enterprise solution architecture design is complete and aligned with principles, practices and guidelies of Kimberly-Clark s SAP and S4 HANA Plan.
  • This role is responsible for leading design and best approach practices in roadmapping, adopting digital enablers and modern technology, leading design and best approach practices, and managing overall TCO, reducing risk and ensuring compliance of solutions, keeping in mind long term sustainability of these solutions from performance, stability, reliability, sustainability and scalability standpoint.
  • The EA will work with the organization s leadership and collaborate with Solution Architects, Delivery Leads, Business Analysts, Data Feature Leads, other Enterprise Architects, Kimberly-Clark s internal business, technology teams and process teams and technology partners (both globally and regionally) and other stakeholders to understand the implications on enterprise architecture and define a S4 HANA Migration Strategy.
  • This role is viewed as an expert in providing technical consulting for complex technology and application environments for SAP and S4 HANA, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise.
  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for other team members.
  • Is knowledgeable in industry best practices in their area of expertise and uses resources outside of KC to deliver solutions.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Technical architect and leader of large and extra-large projects for enterprise operational projects for SAP and S4 HANA
  • Manage technical architecture analysis, design, build, test and deploy of S4 HANA for:
    • DevSecOps and Development architecture
    • Execution architecture, Landscape and Environment Management
    • Operations architecture - Backup and Recovery, Disaster recover, High availability etc., and
    • Infrastructure architecture - Capacity Planning, Cloud Strategy etc
    • Define and manage sizing of the SAP solution and managing of process with the hardware provider / hosting provider
  • Advise on technical approach for all systems integrating to SAP
  • Manage 3rd party dependencies related to SAP environment
  • System landscape design and management experience in operations and project scenarios
  • Accountabilities for defining and aligning the overall S4 HANA technical strategy and roadmaps to DTS architecture principles and standards.
  • Ensuring the architectural design of a solution is complete and aligned with principles, practices and guidelines of KC s architecture .
  • Managing evaluation process and delivering architecture and technology recommendations for S4 HANA
  • Have an Enterprise wide view and understanding of the future technologies and their roadmap engaging with the Data and Analytics team
  • Collaborate with project teams and architects on all aspects of S4 HANA Target architecture
  • Coordinates Architecture Reviews with Solution Architect, Integration Architect and other Enterprise Architects ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes, uses and provides enterprise information consistently, integrates effectively with other applications, supports a common application environment and user interaction model, uses the common technology platform, and achieves enterprise level security, quality of service and scale.
  • Ensures Non-Functional & Security Requirements are captured early during the Requirements and incorporated as part of Architecture
  • Ensures all key stakeholders are part of the ARB conversation and they Sign-off
  • Understands and has deep knowledge of E2E data flow across all systems.
  • Will be able to come up with the As-Is and To-Be data architecture
  • Regularly interact with leadership on project design changes and priority setting
  • Understands deep knowledge to ensure environment supportability, stability and sustainability
  • Mentors others to complete Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives; consults and shares knowledge across org; awareness of industry trends
  • Guides project teams about emerging technologies
  • Ensures digital enablers opportunities are being identified and accounted for
  • Engages with Solution Architect thru ARB process, RFI preparation, technical master data assessment etc.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Required/ Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree

Experience:

  • 14-20 years of continuous experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture
  • At least 5 years of experience as the overall enterprise solution architect in large S4 HANA Migrations
  • Deep knowledge and experience with architecture and development in the context of SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA and BI systems
  • Experience in SAP and S4 HANA architecture, design, migration and implementation roadmaps for large CPG companies
  • Knowledge of SAP tools for Data Warehousing, data migration, data integration and data quality dashboards
  • Hands-on SAP ECC and S4 HANA experience with detail understanding of SAP ERP systems
  • Experience of providing consulting, blueprinting and co-ordination of overall S4 HANA Migration efforts
  • Understand E2E Data Flow across all the Systems. Will be able to come up with the As-Is and To-Be Data Architecture.
  • Have an Enterprise wide view and understanding of the future Analytics & AI Requirements and work closely with the Data and Analytics team
