18 months with possible extension to 2y and / or conversion to full time.

  • What is the name of your group and what is your team’s main responsibility?

Commercial Expense Reporting and Analytics (CERA) program, BizOps Enable team.  We're responsible for preparing and performing code releases and deployments into Mastercard's production environments.

  • What program will this person be supporting? Will this person be a part of a Guild? If so, which one and how will they be contributing?

Commercial Expense Reporting and Analytics (CERA) program, BizOps Guild.  Candidate will participate as a member of the Enablement team and perform release related work.

  • What will a typical work day look like for this contractor?

Most time will be spent preparing for and performing code releases, both major and minor.  Some time may be spent on automation work.

  • What will the work schedule be? 

8-4 US CT, M-F.  Start and finish times are flexible and not fixed as long as candidate is willing to maintain consistent schedule.

  • Will this position require OT? (OT is not included in an assignment’s budget)

Yes, but not expected to exceed 5-10 hours per month.

  • What are your top 3 required technical skills?

Experience with Linux administration

Experience with Tomcat / Apache / similar

Experience performing large code deployments into complex environments

  • What level of competency is required? (Foundational, Intermediate, or Advanced)

Intermediate

  • What are a couple of desired/nice to have skills?

Experience using Jenkins, XLR, or Shell Scripting to automate repetitive tasks

  • What soft skills would you like to see in a candidate?

Ability to function well in a group, someone who is good natured, willing to engage in documentation and standardization of repetitive tasks.
