What you will be doing as a Software Development Engineer I
- Design and develop product/solution architecture based on requirements written from requirement specifications.
- Converting requirements to functional requirements to develop software code that is accessible, usable, efficient, reusable, cost-effective, maintainable, reliable, and installable
- Help define technical solutions for product specifications.
- Proficient with multiple operating systems and programming languages.
- May be assigned other tasks and duties related to the achievement of both departmental and company goals
- Can direct own activities with respect to developing programs or subsystems and writing code
- Write quality, testable, maintainable code.
- Work as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, development team.
- Design and code for scale, speed, and reliability.
- Provides support and guidance to other members of their group or team. Ensures that that guidance is consistent with departmental and company goals
- Be a team player and work towards the achievement of team goals.
- Work with and learn from a strong team with a track record of shipping high-quality products.
What we look for in you:
- A Bachelor s/Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong problem solving, design, and programming skills
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Being a team player and working towards the achievement of team goals
- Exposure to web development technologies will be a plus
- Exposure to Open Source technologies like Ruby on Rails (RoR), MySQL, and Apache will be a plus
- Exposure to an Agile development environment will be a plus
