Responsibilities :
- Delivering availability of critical infrastructure around the globe
- Assisting with capacity planning, staffing, reporting to keep CAD DevOps execution on track globally
- Manage users, projects, storage, and compute systems in the EDA design clusters
- Design, develop and deploy analytics and telemetry solutions
- Increase performance of compute infrastructure and related subsystems
- Develop and deliver training material and demonstrations as needed
Skills required:
- Minimum of 10+ years of work experience with Linux systems
- Experience with Network Attached Storage and related protocols (e.g., NFS, SMB, S3)
- 5+ years of HPC and EDA based tools
- Experience with infrastructure as code and task automation technologies
- Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible, Puppet
- Proficiency in system administration and scripting
- RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Amazon Linux, Rocky Linux
- Ability to learn, evaluate, and recommend new and existing technologies
- Ability to build and maintain tools when required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
We consider the following experience as a plus:
- Experience with PagerDuty or other escalation and notification tools
- Extensive experience with LSF or other job schedulers and CAD EDA tools
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or other cloud computing a plus
- Experience with remote access display technologies (e.g., ETX, VNC, NX)
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Singularity, enroot)
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux/VM systems and proficiency in administration (e.g., VMware, KVM or others)
- Knowledge of build/release and CI/CD systems
- Experience with creating and supporting Jenkins Jobs with server / client hierarchy
- Experience with monitoring and alerting services (e.g., Prometheus, Splunk, Nagios)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Experience with mentoring and training newer members of a team
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
