JOB DETAIL

 

• Liaise between product management, solution architecture and software engineering to support and implement complex initiatives 
• Proactively reviews program impact metrics such as availability, response time, customer SLAs to identify opportunities for improving effectiveness on key processes and procedures
• Anticipates potential planning gaps and the impact of changes to improve plan specifics in current/future projects across complex work efforts
• Applies subject matter expertise to establish best practices for initiatives to be delivered in timely manner, and enhancing services/solutions/procedures (e.g., governance, playbooks, gating reviews, etc.)
• Leverages knowledge of capacity planning and asset management tools and procedures to ensure the compute infrastructure meets objectives
• Understands performance engineering practices, including capacity drivers, traffic modeling, infrastructure utilization, horizontal scaling, elastic computing, and last-mile performance for consumers
• Resolves complex issues with system performance and stability while handling escalations and sharing knowledge of troubleshooting processes
• Engages others at MasterCard in identifying future project needs and in finding key impactful areas for improvement while maintaining a safe balance of risks and rewards
• Oversees end-to-end execution of complex solution implementation efforts and ensures on-time delivery and achievement of quality standards
• Understands platform systems installations, upgrades, patching processes and procedures, and coordinates with peer teams to increase effectiveness
• Demonstrates strong understanding of system capabilities in order to document work steps and support knowledge management; provides guidance for others to follow
• Takes initiative to learn about cutting edge technology trends and understand how they may impact Mastercard’s products, platforms and services
• Exhibits strong knowledge of transaction services, payment processing, authorization systems and applications to ensure work is performed in accordance to targets
