Develop data models to store and report on Supply Chain and Financial data such as Inventory, Item, PO, Receipts, AR, AP etc.
Understand reporting / visualization requirements and build data vault models, denormalized structures, and aggregate tables to support fast retrieval of data.
Create data model documentation describing data lineage and business rule driven transformations
Develop data models that support scalability for volume and variety of data sources to be integrated together with minimal rework for ETL processes.
Participate in testing and validating data flowing into the target models using SQL scripts
Maintain consistency in naming standards and ensure standards are followed
Develop stored procedures, user defined functions in SQL Server using secure coding techniques that guard against SQL injection attacks
Ensure adherence to data management/governance policies, processes, and standards
Develop reconciliation & balancing scripts between source applications and the data platform to track accuracy of data loads Required
Qualifications:
Overall 7+ year’s industry experience, with at least 2+ years of experience in Data Vault 2.0 modeling methods or the ability to ramp up quickly on the methodology (not to be confused with the product Oracle Database Vault) and 5-6 years of hands-on PL/SQL development.
Experience with translating business/IT/scientific objectives into technological solutions
Experienced in relational databases, OLTP Data Modeling, development and reporting, including but not limited to the following:
Conceptual, logical normalization, 3NF and physical data models
Development of packages, procedures, functions and triggers
Ideal candidate will be experienced in Data Warehouse Design and Development with OLAP technology/Business Intelligence including but not limited to the following:
Development of Data Warehouses, Data Marts, Cubes and Reporting Solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills.
