TYPICAL DAY IN THE ROLE
- Typical task breakdown and rhythm – They are making a demo to show that they have a way to figure out given a quantum application and figure out if it’s malicious or not. Then they figure out if they want to halt execution. Lookingfor web development experience that could quickly help to bring up the demo. Looking to setup a site to do this work.
The Azure Quantum Team is looking for a candidate with strong web development skillsets who can provide short-term help for a ~2-month project. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing database driven interactive content
- Creating customized information retrieval and client/server programmability
- Supporting the team in utilizing current and emerging script technologies
- May develop publishing tracking systems, conversion tools, automation tools and procedures, and miscellaneous support projects
- May own responsibility for entire project or web page
- Works closely with production staff on a project basis
- Interaction level with team
- Chance for flex hours or remote – Standard core hours, 40 hrs/wk. Prefer them to be local to Redmond and willing to come onsite as needed.
Chance for extension later – Y/N – start with 2 months some possibility to extend

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- # of years of experience as a minimum - 3+ years within Web Development.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proficient in ASP.NET, C#, modern HTML/CSS
- A solid understanding of how web applications work, including session management, and best development practices
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Excellent problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills to complete tasks within the constraints of timelines Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS in computer science or a related field
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Azure Quantum, Quantum Development Kit, Q#
- Degrees or certifications required – a bachelors in CS, computer engineering or related

- Best vs. average – BEST – Someone who has experience bringng up a web application end to end including UI and UX layers all the way to the backend with databases and communication protocls that go along with that. Someone who can be a creative problem solver. The demo isn’t comething that has been done before where issues might come up that haven’t happened before and looking to get through those. Someone who can debug and do failure analysis for when the demo app crashes and figuring how and why and how to prevent it.
