What You Will Do
- Participate and contribute in the full project life cycle, including gathering requirements, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of applications.
- Follow standard software development methodologies and SDLC practices to produce high quality applications in an efficient manner.
- Participate in estimating assigned work effort and be accountable for completion dates
- Document code and support release management as needed
- Reverse engineering of existing code and perform impact analysis of the changes done with regard to earlier written documentation
Skills and Experience You Will Need
Required:
- AWS data lake, data lake formation, Redshift data warehouse, AWS glue, AWS glue crawler, AWS DMS, AWS Athena, PowerBI/Tableau/Quicksight
- SQL, Python/Node.js
- 5+ years of experience in complex SQL development leveraging analytics functions primarily in Microsoft SQL Server environment
- 5+ years in software engineering/development roles primarily in SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server tools
- Strong knowledge of SQL required
- Experience in writing and refactoring complex stored procedures
- Design and develop innovative solutions for managing data movement in, out of and between various data systems, platforms and file types
- Manage source code versioning and deployment
- Monitor, maintain and enhance production ETL processes
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Understanding of Data Warehouse methodologies and approaches
- Collaborate with internal and external Clients as well as Developers and Business Analysts to define and understand technical requirements
- Follow industry and company standards, including HIPAA security guidelines, and best practices for ETL and database development
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements
