As the Senior User Experience Designer, you re a vital member of the digital marketing team. You re skilled in the design of complex transactional web applications and marketing web sites. You re a UX professional who thrives in a creative, collaborative design practice that links the product development, marketing, and technology groups. You will drive the effective inclusion of voice of customer in early project definition; rapid iteration of design concepts; and the evaluation of proposed design solutions.

The User Experience Designer position is a remote position.

The UX Designer, Ecommerce combines insights from customer usage data, user experience best practices and design skills to produce low to high fidelity prototypes to improve and drive the sustainability and growth of Pitney Bowes eCommerce business.

The UX/UI Designer is the key contact and serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay current on emerging trends in user-centered methodologies, ecommerce best practices, accessibility, inclusive design and UI design patterns

  • Have a deep understanding of end-to-end iterative UX deliverables including personas, information architecture, user flows, journey maps, lo and hi-fi wireframes

  • Provide expert-level UI design and functional prototypes that are responsive and optimized for a wide range of screen sizes

  • Ability to deliver visual annotations and functional specifications for development handoff

  • Take part in UX research through usability testing, design thinking workshops and data analysis to find insights and constantly improve the user experience of the PB ecosystem

  • Think strategically and explore different design concepts around the implementation of features

  • Visualize concepts quickly and cleanly and clearly communicate design rationale to team members and stakeholders with persuasion and confidence

  • Work collaboratively with product, engineering, marketing, analytics, and other teams and synthesize feedback into meaningful experiences

  • Manage the cross-functional communication and expectation from inception to implementation while acting as an advocate for Pitney Bowes users customer

Requirements:

  • Background and education in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Digital Web/Software Design, or related academic stream

  • 8 + years in the industry working on the full life cycle of complex, transactional products with extensive mobile experience

  • Proficient technical knowledge of ecommerce technologies, User- Centered Design, Agile methodology and web development

  • Must possess a design portfolio that demonstrates tactical experience with user-centered design patterns and methodologies Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Passionate about the intersection of digital design and interactive technology, with a strong knowledge of ecommerce best practices

  • Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG and AODA accessibility standards

  • Good interaction chops, an eye for quality design and ability to think through product strategy

  • Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision

  • Experience in building and maintaining design systems and component libraries

  • Experience coding in HTML, CSS and motion graphics is a plus

  • Experience with B2B transactional flows a plus
