PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop and maintain embedded software, written in C and assembly
language.
Use Continuous Integration and Static Analysis tools to improve code quality,
detect and troubleshooting - correct bugs quicker.
Provide support with documentation to support the software product.
Generating requirements for new products, porting and code development for
new products
Maintenance updates for existing products.
Project documentation to comply with procedures, as well as customer
documentation.
Product support for customers and Manufacturing.
Working closely with HW Engineering, other SW Engineering teams and other
disciplines within CSPL
The role requires both HW and SW capabilities. The HW capabilities require
the engineer to fully understand the operation of the HW. This is achieved by
analysis of schematics, component data sheets and discussions with HW
engineers.

II. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

Strong programming skills in embedded C/C
Knowledge on microcontroller 8, 16 & 32 bit - well versed with Compiler like CubeSuite IAR workbench, MPLAB X, Keil etc. & Proteus simulation tool.
Well versed with Communication protocol I2C, SPI, UART & other protocols.

Experience in development/Validation Stack over CAN/LIN bus.
Desired to have hands on with at least one scripting languages (Python/Ruby).
Knowledge of modern Real-Time Operating Systems.
Knowledge of Linux, as a software development environment.
Basic understanding of Analog and Digital Circuits.
Instrument Knowledge - CRO, DSO, Logic Analysers, LCRQ meter, etc.
Product level documentation knowledge SRS, DFMEA, PFMEA, Flow chart etc.
Self-organized and goal oriented. Fluent in written and spoken English

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

Diploma or Graduate in Electronics Communication - B.E/B.Tech.
Desired to have completed a (3-6 months) course on Embedded Systems.
3 to 8 years experience with Microcontroller programming in Embedded C/C
