We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Digital Business Automation(DBA), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing document management, workflow and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending. 

Position Description:
GBOT Digital Business Automation team is looking for Scala Developer to join a technologically advanced team to work on Apache Spark (& Hadoop) based ETL Platform. ETL process will interface with firms  books & records systems for Data Transformation & Distribution. Candidate will interface on a regular basis with other teams including other internal IT teams across Wealth Management, BA team, QA team, and offshore development team. The candidate must have good communication skills and be able work with both users and lead IT team members in a highly collaborative team environment. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities and proprietary system builds.

Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Design & Development Enterprise scale ETL process for doing Data Ingestion, Transformation and Distribution integrating with multiple systems in Firm.
•    Perform Business analysis along with BA/QA’s to ensure requirements documented, and implemented in Scala language.
•    Collaborating with multiple technology teams that are upstream and downstream to the application such as Books & Records System, Pricing System, Data Warehouse
•    Working in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally.

Skills Required:
•    3-5 years of hands-on experience of Scala SDK 2.11.12  or higher.
•    3-5 years of hands-on experience of Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and related ecosystem.
•    Working Experience on Autosys for scheduling jobs or any other similar scheduling platform.
•    Excellent knowledge of Scala EE, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Spring framework, MQ, Kafka, Databases (Db2/SQL), Webserver (Apache Tomcat preferred).
•    Experience and very good understanding of Design Patterns.
•    Good understanding of DevOps practices and tooling.
•    Experience in understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements etc.).
•    Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
Skills Desired:
•    Working Knowledge of building applications in the Cloud.
•    Working Knowledge of Unix/Linux and/or any scripting language.
•    Working knowledge of Financial market, document platform-based products and Wealth Management.

Education: 
•    Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
