Skill Set - IBM Mainframe, Cobol , JCL , VSAM , CICS
- Primary skills - COBOL/DB2/JCL
- Secondary skills - CICS/MQ Series
- Mainframe tools - Endevor, QMF, SPUFI, TWS/OPC, TSO/ISPF
Expectations include:
- Work on incidents and problem tickets and minor enhancements based on priority.
- Co-ordinate between batch processing and L3 team when there is a need to resolve abends.
- Work with external and internal partners at both the business and technical level to define requirements and identify solutions
- Analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues relating to development of reporting solutions
- Ability to work independently and on cross functional team
- Communicate with business users and other IT groups at a technical and functional level
Develop appropriate documentation both technical and procedural
- Participate in code reviews
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to mentor and cross train team members
- On Call support is required, ready to work in shifts to provide support coverage, Weekend support
- Production support experience/Utilities domain background is a plus.
