- Reviewing and discussing briefs with key personnel assigned to projects.
- Designing and building scalable DataStage solutions using both parallel & server jobs.
- Configuring clustered and distributed scalable parallel environments.
- Updating data within repositories, data marts, and data warehouses.
- Assisting project leaders in determining project timelines and objectives.
- Monitoring jobs and identifying bottlenecks in the data processing pipeline.
- Testing and troubleshooting problems in ETL system designs and processes.
- Improving existing ETL approaches, and solutions used by the company.
- Providing support to customers about issues relating to the storage, handling, and access of data.
- Co-ordinate with offshore on Development of ETL jobs & Testing. Track the status of Development and Testing
- Investigate and resolve any design issues and code bugs
- Look for Performance improvement opportunities both on DataStage and Database level
Requirements:
- Good Technical leadership & Development experience of 6yesr and above
- Strong Datawarehouse(Star/Snowflake Schema, SCD Types) & Business Intelligence Knowledge
- Strong knowledge on DataStage 11.7.1/11.5 and Relational Databases (Oracle/SQL)
- Strong knowledge in SQL/PL SQL
- Good knowledge on Unix shell scripting
- Prior experience on Netezza/IIAS DB2 warehouse or any MPP databases knowledge like Teradata will help
- Good knowledge on any scheduler (CA7/Stonebranch etc.)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Should have prior production support experience
- Should be able to Manage stress and extend when required
- Good co-ordination skills with offshore team
