Sr. Java Fullstack & AWS Developer

Position Description
This candidate will work on a team of truly talented individuals and be responsible for the design, build, and testing of IT applications and its components that interface with complex enterprise systems and external vendor systems.
Candidate must be a highly motivated, well-rounded, self-starter that works best in a collaborative, dynamic, agile environment. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are also essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and end users via email, phone, IM, desktop sharing, and wiki. Role can be performed in Raleigh, NC, Bloomfield, CT, or Lafayette, LA.


Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Provides expert level IT technical lead services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas.
2. Completes complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
3. Approves technical solutions proposed by team members. Elevates complex technical issues to IT experts, including architects.
4. Recommends development options, including design, build and test. Approves the team's technical deliverables. Conducts testing, including functionality, technical limitations, and security.
5. Resolves technical problems discovered by testers and internal clients. Responds to and resolves technical issues in a timely manner. Researches issues and performs root cause analysis.

o JAVA - JDK 8, Spring Frame work, Spring Boot, Spring Batch
o Jboss FUSE
o AWS – EKS, SNS, SQS
o REST Services
o EIP : Kafka
o OpenShift / Jenkins
o Terraform (nice to have)
o Oracle and Query Design, PL/SQL
o Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, code coverage
• Experience with modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration, Specification by Example, Behavior / Test Driven Development – BDD, TDD) and the respective tools is must
• Experience w/ Agile Methodologies
• Must be willing to work diligently to meet project deadlines
• Demonstrate strong desire to develop new technical and professional skills on a continual basis
