Java developer
- Any previous cloud experiences
- Unit testing
- Open to 100% remote (EST hours)

Must-Haves:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 5-7 years of experience in development
- Experience programming with Java.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing
- Working experience with Linux

Plus:

- Experience with a configuration management system (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
- Experience of automation of code deployment through the use of containers
- Exposure to modern tooling and infrastructure: Docker, Vagrant, Terraform,
- Experience with CI/CD automation with Jenkins and other open-source tools

Day to Day:

Daily responsibilities will include supporting the engineering, governance and operation for a strategic platform to support application to application messaging. As a System Engineer on this team, a candidate would work to identify current or potential issues on the platform and resolve them by writing services around automation. Key responsibilities include:
1. Research and implement new features for the platform
2. Work with team members to architect solutions to support evolving infrastructure and application needs
3. Configure, tune and test key platform components. Optimize runtime and security profiles.
4. Develop run-books and documentation
