JOB DETAIL

We are looking for a Solution Architect for the North America Solution Architecture team located in New Jersey (preferred). This position will be part of a forward-looking, innovative, and delivery minded team of Solution Architects that collaborates with our business partners in R&D, Manufacturing, Laboratory and Logistics areas. We craft meaningful solutions and capabilities, enabling the future of healthcare in the Digital World. This position has a

strong focus on IT Infrastructure designs supporting new/existing applications in Manufacturing, Laboratory and Logistics.

 

Responsibilities:

•             Create re-usable architecture patterns and designs for our business partners by translating business requirements into solutions, aligning the business processes with technology roadmaps, articulating the transition from current to future state. This includes decisions on (but not limited to):

•             location of infrastructure (OnPrem or AWS/Azure/GCP),

•             compute and database solution (required servers and its specifications, services, kubernetes, etc.)

•             storage solutions (NAS, EFS, S3, etc.)

•             network solutions (firewall, load balancers, etc.)

•             HA/DR-solutions

•             Independently analyze complex or unusual problems in consideration of potential impact and suggest effective solutions.

•             Perform architecture reviews to ensure that technology and architecture is up to-date, identity bottlenecks and make proposals for improvements in reliability and performance.

•             Act as a key resource on larger projects and serves as technology expert with multi-functional team members.

•             Adheres to regulatory governance, and balance between IT standards and strategies, and business needs to guide well-informed decisions.

 

Qualifications:

•             5+ years of experience in IT functions with technology focus

•             Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

•             Broad and current knowledge of IT infrastructure, IT core services and Cloud technologies including Servers (Windows and Linux), Virtualization, Network, Cyber Security, Data Center, HA and DR

•             Expert knowledge in at least two IT technologies, including Cloud Services

•             In-depth understanding of Operations Technology / IT in manufacturing environments

•             Experience working with cross-regional/global IT and Cross-Functional Teams

•             Working experience in regulated environments (FDA, HIPAA, or other)

•             Good communication, storytelling, presentation, and visualization skills

•             Excellent teammate, collaborative, empathic and people motivator

•             Ability to connect well with senior colleagues and other teams and build trust

•             Proven project management and problem-solving skills

•             Experience as Enterprise, Domain or Solution Architect aligning teams around design principles, patterns, platforms, and components and crafting solutions in a sophisticated and innovative environment.

•             Experience in Pharma, Medical Devices, or Health Care industry

•             Experience in IaC and automation

•             Knowledge in programming

•             Certified in Cloud technologies

•             Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
