Sr. Scrum Master with Networking Skills (project background)

Scrum Master/Project Manager hybrid role with prior Network Engineering/Services experience. 

The Scrum Master is a hybrid role that has some project management responsibilities and is a core member of multiple agile squads supporting various ITRMS programs. 

The responsibility of the Hybrid Scrum Master is to guide the team in agile execution and address day-to-day issues related to the agile squad to achieve the business outcome. 

 

This will include, but is not limited to, the following: 

 

• Develop a strong understanding of the team’s strategy, goals, and processes to assist in delivering large scale solutions 

• Understand at a high level the work being done and keep the JIRA board updated accordingly 

• Manage day to day project operations, maintain project schedules, and ceremonies 

• Work in partnership with IT colleagues to implement and enhance business solutions, assess, and prioritize business and technical enhancements, facilitate the delivery of the enhancements, and drive realization value 

• Experience working in agile environment and proficient in JIRA and Confluence 

• Create JIRA dashboard and reports 

• Ability to run daily stand-ups, update boards in real time, and take proficient notes 

• Provide recommendations to improve the process/efficiency of the team and work towards achieving it 

• Financial acumen to collaborate with a project coordinator regarding forecast and track vendor invoices and purchase orders 

• Basic understanding of data analytics to track objectives and key results 

• Prepare and present status of the project to the senior officials of the organization 

• Conduct training sessions for the team members and explain to them using the agile methods 

• Issue/Risk communication/resolution/escalation – removing blockers 

• Working in Scrum, Kanban or other Agile framework 

• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills, both written and oral
