As the SDE on the SageMaker team, you’ll get to work on:

1. Full Stack Development across the AWS ML's Notebook features, including developer experience, authoring and data scientist IDE experience. The idea is to build a highly scalable and collaborative data science workbench so a data scientist, developer, or student can launch a wholly configured and sharable workspace in the cloud.
2. Customer facing UI and Feature development, including working across multiple SageMaker teams to build innovative Applications and solutions for the AI/ML space.
3. Design and build framework and system to capture data around customer usage, customer experience with the product and build an integrated analytical system to understand how we can improve the product quality and customer experience.

Key job responsibilities

•    Work closely with senior engineers, UX designers, and product managers to design and build a fully integrated and easy to use product for AI and ML focused organizations.
•    Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
•    Design and build necessary telemetry capture and analytical system to gain a deep understanding of SageMaker's customers and usage of the product.
•    Develop/maintain operational rigor for the Customer experience for a fast-growing AWS service.
•    Develop the engineers of an existing “two pizza” scrum team.
•    Collaborate with other SageMaker SDE's for features that cut across SageMaker.
•    Engage with customers and other AWS partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•    4+ years of professional software development experience
•    3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
•    2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
•    Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
•    Experience with modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python) and open-source technologies.
•    Experience with web/mobile technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React, WebPack, HTTP mechanics/performance)
