- Participate and contribute to the development and documentation of the test plan
- Develop and document test cases and success criteria scenarios during development of user stories
- Follow test plan and test strategy set at the project level by adhering to standards and ensuring quality of the deliverables
- Review business requirements for Amanda back office as well as portal and provide inputs on any identified gaps based on test scenarios of positive and negative conditions
- Provide inputs to Developers and Solution Architect on AMANDA fitment of business requirements
- Validate all the Business Rules, Validations and Conditions in AMANDA as well as in the web portal
- Validate data and documents migrated from Legacy system to AMANDA
- Perform migration testing with legacy data, new data created in AMANDA, or a combination of both, and old features (unchanged features) and new features
- Execute test cases and report bugs in Azure DevOps
- Participate in Agile Process including test effort estimations and by providing daily updates in Stand-ups
- Maintain Test Scripts/ cases by constantly updating them based on the changes in the business functions based on demo feedback as well as UAT feedback
- Classify test cases into Smoke Test Suite, Regression Test Suite, Positive Test Cases and Negative Test Cases as defined at the project level
- Smoke testing for each deployment/ release
- Regression testing when changes are implemented that have impact to other areas
- Document defects and bugs with all the required details identified during testing
- Appropriately mark the defect severity to drive priority to development team for fixes
- Troubleshoot and triage defects and bugs
- Create User Acceptance Test Scenarios for the SME’s and assist Business SMEs during User Acceptance Testing
- Collaborate with project team on a regular basis to provide inputs to maintain quality standards
General Skills – Required
- Highly skilled at Manual QA testing (8+ years of experience preferred)
- Hands on experience with testing internal business applications and public/client web portals
- Experience in various Testing methodologies like Black Box Testing, Functional Testing, Regression testing etc.
- Experience in applying different testing principles to design efficient test cases with a motive to ensure test coverage and quality
- Experience in documenting and executing test cases for varying scenarios and conditions
- Experience in documenting and evaluating test results
- Experience in reviewing test procedures and creating test scripts
- Experience designing test plans and test scenarios
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries (Oracle and SQL Server databases preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting and tracking defects
- Experience in fixing bugs and working with the development group
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and come up with solutions to meet project needs
